Security
For several years, ELCA’s security division has been innovating with bespoke Internet solutions. Our engineers are aware of the potential threats and protection needed in a constantly changing world. For example, they anticipated the threat of Trojan horses several years ago.
Over the years the security division has also been called upon to develop and deploy its solutions in a customer context. We have built up extensive expertise in the area of identity management and we are currently implementing a number of projects in this area, either with our own technologies or those of our partners.
Solutions
Our solutions cover strong authentication (ELCARD), secure transactions (ELCARDeST), legal signatures (ELCARDeSS) and secure documents (ELCARDoc). All of which have been developed with the same idea of “pragmatic security” in mind. They are reliable and affordable even for large-scale deployment.

Identity Management
Our work in the area of identity management covers access control using authentication and authorisation, single sign-on (SSO), centralisation of identities, organisation of authorisations, federated identity and self-provisioning.
Integration
The partner technologies we use are technologies from open source or other renowned publishers, such as ARx, Bee Ware, Microsoft, Novell, IBM and Phion covering access gateways, major company directories, public key infrastructure (PKI), SSO platforms, federated identity, etc.
Consultancy
If required, we assist our customers during the implementation phase: helping them make the right decisions beforehand, offering advice and overseeing the work during implementation and monitoring the results afterwards.
