Canton of Lucerne – Successful integration of the register systems
As part of the harmonisation of the official register systems in Switzerland, the canton of Lucerne has employed ELCA to integrate three cantonal register systems, covering residents, buildings and dwellings, and enterprises and establishments into a single standardised and automated data exchange platform.
Despite an extremely ambitious schedule, the project was finished on time and the initial delivery of data using the new cantonal register of inhabitants was made to the Swiss Federal Statistical Office as early as April 2010.
The project has been implemented according to the initial plan and list of requirements and it is agreed by all the authorities involved, including the Swiss Federal Statistical Office and the Federal Office of Information Technology, Systems and Telecommunication and the users, to be both technically advanced and user-friendly.
