Nederlandse Spoorwegen – Secure ticketing
ELCA has developed and implemented the SecuTix secure electronic ticketing solution for Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS). The Dutch national railway company wanted an online ticket service that would allow passengers to print their tickets at home and that could be checked visually without the need for any electronic devices.
Travellers now print more than 250,000 SecuTix tickets each month using ELCA's print@home application. A marketing application has also been added that allows Nederlandse Spoorwegen to add dynamic information to the tickets to generate marketing revenue.
In the interests of security, the solution is provided as Software as a Service (SaaS) and benefits from redundant hosting facilities geared to the needs of a professional operating service.
