ELCA Project Portal: A portal to your projects
What is the ELCA Project Portal and what is it for?
The Project Portal is set up to facilitate all project communication with ELCA’s customers and to increase the transparency of any ongoing project processes. Easily accessible via the ELCA Extranet, you will find on this portal all project-related information including project status (budget, timeline, quality, etc.), a project calendar, a project document and resource exchange as well as interactive collaboration tools and an incident management tool which allows you to create and follow up on your project requests.
Using the strong authentication process powered by ELCARD, the Project Portal lets you retrieve up-to-date information on your projects securely at anytime from anywhere. This small, lightweight matrix card is ELCA’s strong authentication tool developed for secured online transactions.
News: ELCA has obtained the SuisseID certification and allows its clients to order services online via the Project Portal.

From now, ELCA clients can also order services and request modifications on-line using their strong authentication means, including their SuisseID. The electronic signature used on the portal is legally admissible. This therefore enables the dematerialisation of all the contractualisation processes. |

How does it work?
As soon as your project has started, your ELCA project manager will set up your own personal Project Portal. Together you will be able to define exactly what it is that should be communicated and facilitated on this portal. You may want to make extensive use of the inter
active collaboration tools or you might have specific requirements with regards to the archiving of project documentation - all this can be configured according to your needs and your individual project requirements and is free of charge. Even if you have more than one ongoing project with ELCA with totally different requirements, we will be able to adapt your project view to accommodate your requests. You will then receive your login details together with your ELCARD and your secure, personalized collaboration portal to your ELCA projects is set up and ready to be used anytime and from anywhere.

Technologies used
The Project Portal is based on open-source technologies, such as Liferay and Alfresco. Alfresco is an open-source software platform that offers the same functionality as modern document management systems: management of company documents and records through a collaborative platform and integration with MS Office and OpenOffice automation applications. Alfresco combines the productivity and power of the market’s well-known DMS solutions with the flexibility and freedom of an open-source tool.
The SuisseID and Alfresco integration proposed by the Project Portal is the first of its kind in Switzerland. An offer submitted by ELCA through the Project Portal can now be accepted electronically by the client.
