ELCA wins SBB “best supplier” award

 

In order to enhance its Group-wide procurement processes and exploit synergies to an even greater extent, SBB is optimising its cross-divisional purchasing. To achieve this, a good close working relationship with the supplier industry in general and with key suppliers in particular is crucial. At SBB's supplier day, which was held by the BEA bern expo as part of the "suissetraffic" trade fair for public transport, suppliers who had delivered particularly good service to the SBB were presented with an award.

 

ELCA was named “best supplier” in the “IT project business” category on account of its excellent, long-standing partnership with the SBB which covers a wide variety of IT solutions, including in the fields of resource planning, timetabling, billing, sales, security and business intelligence as well as a strategic partnership in the area of marketing and passenger sales. ELCA collaborates with the SBB in the areas of customer relationship management (CRM), ticket sales and in the back office (revenue consolidation, provisioning of products for external partners). In addition to this partnership, SBB relies on ELCA’s SecuTix technology for its mobile phone and print@home tickets. In particular, the SBB praised ELCA's innovative solutions (mobile ticketing and ELCARD) as well as its flexibility, loyalty and the quality of its services.
