2008 – a successful year for the ELCA Group

5 May 2009

ELCA, a leading Swiss company in software development, system integration and business consulting, reported record sales of CHF 71.6 million for fiscal 2008, a year-on-year increase of 14 per cent.

ELCA's strong growth is attributable not least to the company's successful penetration of the SME market – a move that was two years in the making and achieved the desired success in 2008.  As well as investing in developing new markets, ELCA continues to invest in research and in expanding its range of competencies.
ELCA also entered into new partnerships with leading providers and intensified its relations with existing partners. It furthermore won several awards last year, including Microsoft's Swiss Rising Star Dynamics award, and was elevated to EASY Software's Gold partner status and Kofax's Platinum partner status. Furthermore, Mr Gorostidi was presented with the Swiss ICT Champion Award for his role as Chairman and CEO of ELCA.

Looking ahead to 2009, Daniel Gorostidi comments: "The situation is difficult. We are also feeling the impact but remain confident. There is no lack of work in our market and we are constantly being called upon to master new and even more complex challenges. ELCA's competencies are helping our customers tackle the challenges of the current environment more effectively." The fact that ELCA's customer basis is highly diversified and not all customers face the same cyclical fluctuations is another positive factor for the current financial year.
