Loterie Romande – Electronic Workflow Implementation
The lottery society for the French-speaking cantons of Switzerland, Loterie Romande, received ISO27001 certification (Information Security Management System Standard) in 2009. The auditors recommended that Loterie Romande introduce a formal electronic workflow for document approval to ensure that all documents pass through all the necessary steps and that their history can be traced easily and securely, with access at each step granted only to authorised employees. At the same time as implementing this recommendation from the auditors, Loterie Romande wanted to put a system in place that would be flexible enough to allow for the future development of an enterprise-wide content management system (ECM).
The client chose Alfresco as their ECM system and asked ELCA to implement it. The solution included Java Business Process Management (JBPM) as the workflow engine with Secure Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAPS) synchronisation for authentication.
