Technological Excellence

ELCA is in a constant quest to master technology. Our Technology Innovation Committee studies the most recent technologies, as well as how to put our people's abilities to the best use, providing leadership in each of the domains selected. We have identified several domains where we are focusing on increasing our expertise: information systems and ad-hoc developments, software architectures, data warehousing, electronic document management, industrial software systems, planning systems, project supervision and software validation. This pro-active expertise building enables ELCA to work on projects in these areas, which in turn contribute to our collective know-how in these fields. Our training Program gives ELCA's engineers the constant opportunity to become familiar with the newest technologies available in Information Technology. We also have access to technology and market watch publications and research services.

Total Project Mastery

We like to be involved in managing the projects in which we participate. To this end, we have developed a Project Management approach, which ensures total control of performance, quality and price. Our approach provides the right tempo for the progress of the project guaranteeing that projects are completed on time and within budget. Within this framework, ELCA's engineers have access to effective tools, which empower them to drive the most complex projects to a successful end.

Flexible Corporate Structure

Our corporate structure is permanently changing, to reflect changes in our market and the kinds of projects we are taking on. Career development opportunities are provided not just by "climbing up the corporate ladder", but also in innovative ways, through the creation of new positions which become available to those who wish to take advantage of new opportunities that open up.

Our working hours are flexible, and ELCA's engineers can adjust their daily working time according to the work-load. The annual vacations are 20 working days, plus one fixed week between Christmas and New Year.

Communication

Communication is of the utmost importance at ELCA. It provides transparency, efficiency and good interpersonal relations both with our external partners and among ELCA's employees. Regular technical and information meetings are held for groups within the company. Every quarter, a plenary session informs the whole staff about the general situation of the company. In addition, employees are regularly invited to gather with a glass of wine to share views about their work or life in general. Our end-of-year parties are legendary: every year, they provide us with the opportunity to discover new "artists" within our company.

Diversity

Diversity is a major aspect of ELCA's culture and environment. Our human diversity is represented by over 20 nationalities and languages as well as graduates in over 14 different university disciplines. The job diversity consists in a vast range of various activities: an engineer working at ELCA will actually hold many different positions during his career.

Recruitment Policy

We recruit engineering graduates from top Universities and Institutes of Technology. We also hire engineers with Ph.D's and/or several years of experience, in order to enrich our corporate culture. Possibilities for trainees to spend a few months on a specific project within our Company are also provided to students during the course of their studies.
