The Compensation and Benefits Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management of compensation, benefits and wellness programs across EMEA and aligned to our growth strategy.

The ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with competing and shifting priorities is essential in this position. This position also requires a considerable level of initiative and significant attention to detail.

In this role

As HR Compensation and Benefits Specialist, you will:

  • Develop a consistent rewards philosophy in line with work culture and organisational objectives
  • Ensure that compensation practices are in compliance with current legislation (payroll, pay equity, etc.)
  • Define a fair, equitable and competitive total compensation and benefits package that fits and is aligned to our company’s strategy and business goals
  • Contribute to HR systems review (HRIS, among others) and to implementation of selected system(s)
  • Conduct ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices
  • Conduct periodic audits and prepare reports
  • Lead benchmarking and market analysis
  • Perform job evaluations using market pricing methodology and analyze positions for equity across internal/ external peers
  • Identify, select and participate in compensation surveys to analyze the company's competitive market position
  • Further develop Elca’s benefits policy and offering
  • Participate in design and implementation of EMEA benefits and wellness initiatives
  • Participate in various HR projects

About your profile

  • Post-graduate level education in HR (or a related field), possession of HR Brevet federal
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Previous experience in a Swiss compensation and benefits role, additional experience in other European countries is a plus
  • Familiar with different HRIS and preferably with implementation experience
  • Strong experience with compensation analysis and compensation payments
  • Strong knowledge of Pension fund, and different types of incentives and benefits
  • Well-organized and confident to work independently but will be a strong team player
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to lead projects in a matrix environment

 

You have excellent communication skills in French and English, German is a plus
