Development of an AR/MR Maintenance and Support Application (Diploma Thesis / Internship)

Imagine you’re a mechanic working in a cabin of an airplane, doing maintenance work. AR technology allows you to see all relevant installed cables and wires, even if they are hidden. Along the complete repair process, you'll be supported by a 3D-overlay with all relevant information regarding your current mission or a specific repair part.

For example, technical recommendations, contact to live support or guidance how to fulfill your service task become available at a blink of your eye.

Your work will include the evaluation and selection of the right market and target segment where AR based maintenance and support is of high value. For this internship, you are asked to perform the conceptional design and develop an AR/MR application based on a real-world case.

You will join our team of mobile developers, with the support of our mixed reality team. You will work in a stimulating and highly skilled environment.

  • Analysis & research of current solution provided on the market
  • Conceptional work for the target solution
  • Evaluate an appropriate real-world show case to work on
  • Developing an AR/MR application to allows mechanics or service personnel to fulfill maintenance and support tasks more efficiently

About your profile

  • Software engineering and programming with Unity3D & C# and/or ARKit & ARCore
  • Experience in AR/MR is a plus
  • Mobile development experience
  • Creative mindset and high affinity to digital innovations
