How did you hear about ELCA?

I told a friend from university I was going to visit MindPhair. He suggested I should be sure to visit ELCA’s booth, because it’s an exciting company with interesting jobs and a very pleasant working environment. Initially, I hadn’t considered working in IT, but I thought, why not give it a try? And here I am...

What is your role?

My current position as Business Requirements Engineer is not so far away from my core competencies, maths and physics. It’s highly analytical, results oriented, forward looking, and challenging.  I must admit, my view of and interest in IT have changed significantly.

What fascinates you about your job?

I have a lot of different kinds of work to do. I’ve been involved in projects right from the start at ELCA, either for existing applications, where the customer needs to evaluate how to integrate new requirements in daily business, or in analyzing existing processes. I really enjoy solving these challenges. It’s great to have discussions with customers about their requirements, and, at the end of the process see a solution working in their daily environment.

What do you especially like about ELCA?

The way we work! It’s the lively exchange with highly skilled professionals that I enjoy very much. I work in a really collaborative environment. We can ask as many questions as we want, and we live the open-door policy from top to bottom. These are important when you’re fresh from the university and want to get up to speed as quickly as possible. We’re a bunch of ambitious people at ELCA developing high-quality solutions. We have a great working environment and, occasionally, we even have time to go for a drink after work.
