Press Release

ELCA grows to CHF 172 million and 1'400 experts in a shrinking market

03.03.2021

The ELCA Group, one of the largest independent IT groups in Switzerland, generated turnover of 172 million Swiss francs in 2020, a growth of 1.3%. CEO Cédric Moret is pleased with these annual results: "We are very pleased with the positive growth of the ELCA Group. This is no small matter of course, given Corona, and is proof we’re very well positioned with our solutions and our services."

In 2020, ELCA successfully delivered hundreds of projects. The company is proud and grateful that customers continue to trust us in these difficult times, and we’re gratified we were able to contribute to fight against Covid and continue to do so.

ELCA currently employs 1,400 experts and was recently assigned 1st place as a digital service provider in the annual ICT yearbook ranking. Another example of ELCA’s continuous growth is the Basel office, which has quadrupled the number of employees since its opening in 2018.

Despite the crisis, ELCA employees expanded their professional knowledge; a total of more than 7,000 training days were attended in the company last year.

ELCA is proud to have been providing support to the digitalization of Switzerland for over 50 years. Convinced of the critical opportunity for Switzerland represented by the digital evolution, ELCA makes significant contributions to Swiss digital associations such as “Trust Valley”, promoting the excellence of the Lake Geneva region in the field of digital trust and cybersecurity, and  “Digital Switzerland”, strengthening Switzerland’s position as a leading innovation hub.

The Corona pandemic made it very clear: Digitization still has a long way to go in Switzerland, and remains a challenge. At the same time, Switzerland coped relatively well with the economic crisis. CEO Cédric Moret is looking to the future with confidence: "Crises contain opportunities, and this also applies to the pandemic. For the digital transformation in Switzerland, this means acceleration and deepening. ELCA is quite optimistic about the economic development of the Swiss IT market."
