AI-supported software delivery is moving beyond coding assistance. With tools such as Claude Code and increasingly agent-driven development workflows, financial institutions are beginning to ask questions that go far beyond engineering productivity: What is already possible today? What is still hype? And what could this mean for value creation, operating models, governance, architecture, talent and strategic control?

To explore these questions, ELCA and SFTI are jointly convening an Emerging Topics Exchange for senior decision makers and experts from banks, insurance companies, software providers and the broader financial services ecosystem.

The event is designed as a focused impulse and expert exchange. Short practical inputs from different perspectives will be followed by a moderated expert panel. The objective is to separate myth from reality, create a shared understanding of the current state, and discuss which implications financial institutions should start preparing for.

Participants will leave with a clearer view of what agentic engineering can already enable, where its limits and risks remain, and which questions around delivery, governance, architecture, talent and operating models deserve senior attention.
